Ingredients: Green tea, Cinnamon, Carob, Vanilla, Orange Peel
One version of a classic Chai! Chocolate Orange Chai is a delicious treat, simple grab a mug with a tea ball or bag, or your favorite tea infuser glass, pour eight ounces of boiling water over two teaspoons of the herbal mix, and steep for seven minutes. Sweeten to taste and add milk or cream.
Try this recipe for a sugar-free Chocolate Orange Chai Latte:
– 2 cups freshly brewed Chocolate Orange Chai
– 1/8 tsp ginger, ground
– Pinch each of ground nutmeg and clove
– 1/4 cup raw cashews
– 1-2 Medjool dates, pitted (or maple syrup, honey, etc to taste)
~ Blend together in your favorite high powered blender for thirty seconds or until smooth and frothy. Serve immediately.
** Serves two!
+ If you don’t have a strong blender, and you end up with small pieces of cashew or dates left, simply strain using a fine mesh sieve or nut milk bag.
